Router previously announced that the router chain is live. This is a great achievement that will pave the way for truly innovative omnichain dApps and accumulating liquidity across multiple chains. Best of luck to the entire Router Chain team! proud to be part of a journey!

So what exactly is a chain router?

Router Chain

Router Chain is a proof-of-stake layer 1 blockchain that enables stateful bridging-enabling truly omnichain dApps that can abstract chains from users and aggregate liquidity across multiple chains. Router Chain is built using the Cosmos SDK and encapsulates all the features of Cosmos, including fast block times, strong security mechanisms, and most importantly, CosmWasm - a security-first smart contract platform.

Key Features of Router Chain

  • Maintain states and implement custom business logic directly on the bridging layer
  • Provides developers with the utmost flexibility over their bridging model (stateless or stateful), security model, and smart contract platform (EVM or CosmWasm)
  • Contracts on the Router chain can serve as data aggregation modules for various cross-chain and multi-chain applications
  • Enable gasless cross-chain transactions by delegating the execution of a request to a third-party service.
  • Ensures rapid and reliable cross-chain message transfers with minimal latency, making transactions faster and more predictable.
  • Offers a layered security approach, including PoS validation and ASM for high-value transactions, which can be customized with additional security modules like zk-proofs or multisig.

What is Staking ?

Staking in Proof of Stake, is the process of locking your assets to participate in the proof of stake network. You cannot use the locked assets such as sending and swapping. However, you participate in securing blockchain networks such as Rouer Chain with $ROUTE , earning rewards from inflation as well as network fees and participating in governance.

Key note

When a $ROUTE holder stakes, they will get the following rights and things:

  • Securing networks
  • Rewards Staking
  • Become a governance member allowing to vote on onchain proposals
  • Stakedrop ( Event )

Before staking you need to migrate the route (v1) to route (v2) and Bridge to router chain.

Staking/Delegate ROUTE with genznodes validator

genznodes has played a pivotal role in the development of the router chain, providing unwavering support during the testnet and beta mainnet phases. We have been instrumental in running the infrastructure and validators, upgrading the software, debugging, and providing feedback. Support us by delegating $ROUTE!

Note :

  • Undelegate asset takes 21 days

Via Keplr ( Recomend )

1. Prepared

Make sure you have migrated ROUTE to v2 and bridge ROUTE to Keplr.

  • add router chain to keplr (if you haven’t)

go to Chains keplr > search router > Add to Keplr

you will get router... for address

  • Paste in Router Reciepient Address router-stake-1

bridge takes a few minutes

2. Connect Router Hub with Keplr Wallet

router-stake-2

3. Go to genznodes page

  • Enter the $ROUTE you want to delegate router-stake-3

  • Click confirm delegate and confirm keplr pop up router-stake-4

  • Done you will see the rewards in the wallet section or in keplr wallet

Via Metamask / Evm Wallet

1. Prepared

Make sure you have migrated ROUTE to v2 and bridge ROUTE to Router Chain.

  • add Router Chain
Network name: Router mainnet
Network URL: https://sentry.evm.rpc.routerprotocol.com
Chain ID: 9600
Currency symbol: ROUTE
Block explorer URL: https://routerscan.io

2. Connect Router Hub with Metamask

3. Go to genznodes page

  • Enter the $ROUTE you want to delegate router-stake-3

  • Click confirm delegate and confirm pop up router-stake-5

  • Done you will see the rewards in the wallet section.

Calculate Staking Rewards

router-stake-6 Got to https://genznodes.dev/networks/router and simulate your rewards with our calculator, it is a reward calculator based on inflation and commission fees.
